Avery’s Hope Fund for Glycogen Storage Disease Research was established to raise public awareness about Glycogen Storage Disease and to support fundraising efforts to find a cure for GSD. Specifically, Avery’s Hope supported the research efforts of Dr. David Weinstein at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Dr. Weinstein, along with other researchers, have been working tirelessly on Gene Therapy, and recently, moved into the next phase of trials.
Unfortunately, Dr. Weinstein left the GSD Program this year to pursue research in other storage diseases, so we are seeking a new benefactor of our fundraising efforts.
100% of all monies raised by Avery’s Hope will be used to support research projects related to the treatment and cure of Glycogen Storage Disease and to offset the costs of GSD treatment.
